Along the trail
1
Glavičica
Kalić (pond) · 1.2 km
Set in a sunny meadow, the Glavičica pond captivates with its size and beautifully lined stone masonry.
Take note of the elevated stones near the entrance to the kalić (pond) – they were not placed there by chance. The locals thoughtfully arranged them so that the mlikarice (milkwomen) and other passersby could easily set down their heavy backpacks and put them back on with ease when leaving.
As one of the older and most important historical ponds of this area, it is completely immersed in peace and always filled with water.
A pleasant path through the woods and greenery leads right to it. It once served as an important water source in this area, and even today you can often spot forest birds and wildlife coming here to quench their thirst.
2
Dašnje
Kalić (pond) · 1.5 km
The Dašnje pond is unique for its secluded setting in a grove and its clay-rich bottom.
It was once lined with stone, but over time, nature and local animals have reshaped its edges.
As a humble, cheerful muddy bath surrounded by greenery, it is entirely dedicated to forest life. Thanks to the dense layer of clay, the water holds for a long time, making Dašnje one of the most vibrant spots along the trail – a little oasis where you can feel the authentic presence of the wild.
Due to the abundance of natural clay, this pond is a favorite bathing spot where wild animals cool off and wallow. If you look closely at the soft clay around the water’s edge, you will easily spot prints of hooves and paws – a sure sign that you are not the only one passing through.
3
Vidačevo
Kalić (pond) · 2.1 km
The Vidačevo pond is located at an important junction where hiking trails toward the peaks of Suhi vrh and Kamenjak intersect.
Thanks to its secluded setting, dense forest surroundings, and exceptional water quality, this pond is one of the most peaceful spots along the trail.
It is precisely this tranquility that makes Vidačevo a favorite refuge for forest wildlife. In complete silence, hinds, roe deer, hares, and even bears come here to drink, finding a safe haven and refreshment in this pristine corner of nature.
4
Glogov
Kalić (pond) · 3.3 km
The Glogov pond is set near the edge of a spacious, open, grassy meadow, beneath the light canopy of several trees.
Thanks to its pleasant shade and spaciousness, this is a perfect spot for a break, resting on the grass, and enjoying a picnic in nature before continuing your walk.
Although completely surrounded by greenery, Glogov is located near the well-known sports and adrenaline attractions of the Grobnik area, creating a unique setting where natural tranquility meets the adventurous spirit of Grobnišćina.
The time follows the DIN 33466 standard used for hiking signs: we assume 4 km on the flat per hour, 300 metres of ascent per hour and 500 metres of descent per hour. The longer of the horizontal and the vertical time counts in full and half of the shorter one is added. Stops, photos and a slower pace are not included, so allow extra time.
time = longer of (distance ÷ 4 km/h) and (ascent ÷ 300 m/h + descent ÷ 500 m/h) + half of the shorter
